This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of titanium dioxide based Nano
coatings in reducing air pollution and improving quality of life in Sirt, a city facing
severe environmental challenges caused by dust storms, traffic emissions, and a lack
of sustainable treatment solutions. Field experiments were conducted simulating local
climatic conditions, and the results demonstrated the ability of these coatings to
reduce the accumulation of gaseous pollutants and fine particles on outdoor surfaces
through photo catalysis, without the need for additional energy or periodic
maintenance. The study also examined the possibility of integrating this technology
with Nano-based water purification systems to treat locally polluted water.
Nanotechnology, through Nano coatings, has contributed to addressing the challenges
associated with persistent pollution and overcoming the shortcomings of traditional
surfaces in resisting pollutant accumulation, making them an integrated
environmental and economic solution. The study recommends implementing this
technology within Sire's urban development plans, expanding its use in public
facilities, and promoting local research and development to ensure the transition
towards smart and sustainable cities that integrate innovation with environmental
protection.
