| dc.description.abstract | Abstract :\ This study aimed to identify the requirements and standards of electronic governance and their relationship to improving institutional performance from the perspective of faculty members at Fezzan University. This investigation takes place amid the rapid changes witnessed in higher education institutions. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology, collecting data through an electronic questionnaire distributed to a sample of faculty members, yielding 100 valid responses for analysis. Statistical analysis results revealed a strong and significant positive correlation between the availability of electronic governance requirements and standards and the improvement of institutional performance at Fezzan University. The Spearman correlation coefficient between the total requirements and standards of electronic governance and institutional performance was (.760**) with a significance level of (p-value =. 000). The highest-rated aspect of applying electronic governance standards at the university was adherence to ethical standards in the use of digital data, followed by transparency standards in publishing administrative decisions and data. Furthermore, statistically significant differences were found in faculty evaluations of electronic governance standards based on age and years of experience. Finally, differences of statistical significance in assessments of institutional performance levels were found according to gender and age variables. The study recommends the continuous updating and maintenance of electronic systems to meet cybersecurity requirements and data protection needs. It also emphasizes the necessity of embedding values of transparency, accountability, participation, and justice in university operations, along with organizing ongoing training courses for staff and faculty to enhance digital skills and understanding of electronic governance practices. | en_US |
